Rückblick Webinar: How to manage your project stakeholders remotely

The webinar was hosted by the PMI Austria Chapter on Wednesday 4th June at 12:30 pm and was given by Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir and Dr. Zorana Boltić of Scatterwork, Switzerland.
The presentation was based on the Scatterwork's team projects experience in over 40 countries.
The success of a project is dependent on meeting the stakeholders expectations and objectives. It is essential to first identify all project stakeholders who may be within or outside the organisation and understand their motivation. Examples of project stakeholders that were given and these were customers, senior management, suppliers, Human Resources etc. Also, success is dependent on understanding the culture of those affected by the project and the nuances of the different cultures with examples given. Specific tools were described that would help the project manager assess the cultural impact on the project team. Managing project stakeholders is very much dependent on regular and accurate communication preferably in person but in today's world of virtual communication that is the next best available alternative.
