Eleven attended the virtual Stammtisch that was held using Microsoft Teams. The topic of discussion was “Risk Management”. Risk management is not single pass event at the start of a project. Risks should be identified and appropriate mitigations agreed at the start of a project in a workshop that brings together relevant subject matter experts and stakeholders. The identified risks and others that may be identified throughout the project should be reviewed at regular intervals to ensure they don’t turn into issues. Use of suitable algorithms to assess the impact and severity of risks is recommended to control the probability of their occurrence and impact. Risks should be assigned to owners who would be responsible for their avoidance or minimise their impact. Time and budget contingencies should be allocated for unforeseen risks. Next Stammtisch will be virtual and held on Thursday 18th February 2021 starting at 19:30. The topic of discussion is “ Safety and Security”.
