Project delays are always disadvantageous and in big construction projects have the potential t become news-worthy.

One main reason for delays that was discussed during the Stammtisch is missing information and accountability from project team members and not enough follow-up from the PM. Especially in projects managed in an agile way the risk for additional work being added during the process was seen as higher.

In some industries, especially in those dealing with public events, a delay is often not a feasible option.
