Can one conclude that an organisation’s project management maturity by its relationship with PMI? Not necessarily. But I think it is quite likely that a company that values PMI certified project management professionals or adopts the PMBoK processes is at a higher project management maturity level than one does not.
How does an organisation achieve maturity in project management?
- See where you stand: Many steps are necessary and each one should be assessed.
- Processes & organizational learning: Integrate PM processes with business processes to provide knowledge management.
- Correct understanding of Agile: Agile frameworks should not be implemented blindly into the organisation.
