  Seven attended the virtual Stammtisch that was held using Microsoft Teams. The topic of discussion was “ Non-financial Quality Assessment of Project Managers”. We concluded that there are a number of non-financial parameters that can be collected at specific milestones or specific intervals and be used to assess the performance of a project manager and these include;

• Assessment of the project's success in terms of time and / or quality
• Control of the project scope and this can be expressed in the number and amount of change requests / approved during the project life cycle
• Feedback from the project team and users of the project
• Soft skills including communication within the team and with project users
• Feedback from user satisfaction surveys

For more immediate response the use of a simple three mood emojis (smiley, neutral or unhappy) or coloured (red or green) balls in a jar at the start of a meeting is a good way of assessing the attendees view of the mood of the team members and their view of the performance of the project manager. Next Stammtisch will be virtual and held on Thursday 15th April 2021 starting at 19:30. The topic of discussion is “ Project Management in VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) environment”.
