Risk mitigation is the process of planning for disasters and having a way to lessen negative impacts through acceptance, avoidance, transfer or risk reduction. Comparing our experiences, we found that in practice different companies give different weight to the importance of planning for risks, with some having extensive plans while others relying on their experience with similar projects. Some of the major unplanned for risks encountered by the attendees were next to the Corona pandemic, fraudulent behavior and political unrest.
